This week we will talk about 5 supplements that may help to boost or support your immune system.

⭐️ Astragalus contains compounds that may help to boost your immune system. It is thought that it increases immune cells to prevent illness and can also kill bacteria and viruses.

⭐️ NAC or N-acetylcysteine can boost the immune system by improving the immune systems Natural Killer cells. It is a precursor to the antioxidant glutathione which helps to remove free radicals from the body. NAC may help to kill viruses and stop them from replicating in the body.

⭐️ Vitamin D helps to boost the immune system by enhancing the function of immune cells in the body. Low levels of vitamin D have been shown to increase susceptibility to colds, flus and other illnesses.

⭐️ Zinc is important for the proper growth of the immune cells responsible for the first line of defence – the non-specific immune response. Zinc is also important for the proper development of immune cells involved in specific or acquired immunity. Zinc also acts as an antioxidant. Zinc deficiency has been observed in people who get recurrent infections or reduced immunity.
