Christmas Babies

Did you know that having a baby on Christmas Day is really uncommon?

It is actually the least common day for a baby to be born!

This could in part be because medical inductions are not generally scheduled for Christmas Day. But the only other day that is as uncommon is the 29th of February, and that is because we only get this day every 4 years!

And this isn’t just in Australia. December the 25th is the least common birthday in the USA and New Zealand too.

Even the dates around Christmas and New Years are not as common as the rest of the year. The most common birthday’s fall in September.

So if you are waiting on your December baby or if your birthday is in December, just know that it is pretty special as it’s not that common 😊
